For there is not any means by which those who have been born can avoid dying; after reaching old age , there is death, of such nature are living beings. It is useless to worry about death.
He further taught that if humans have to overcome death. It is possible by drawing out the arrow of lamentation and complaint and grief. Man must overcome sorrow to be at peace.

Gautama wanted a final solution for the sufferings and pains that afflicted people of the world. He wandered for seven years for seeking enlightenment . Finally, he sat down under a big tree. He vowed to say there until enlightenment came. Enlightened after seven days, he renamed the big tree. It was named Bodhi tree. He gave his first sermon at the city of Banaras on the river Ganges.
